Swisscom AG has sold the business unit Hospitality Services to HoistLocatel AB
June 2015 — Swisscom AG has sold Swisscom Hospitality Services to HoistLocatel AB. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Swisscom Hospitality Services (SHS) has been active for over 12 years in the provision of high-speed internet access services (HSIA), interactive entertainment systems (IPTV), conference solutions and managed network services for hotels and conference centers in the EMEA region and in North America. SHS serves over 2,000 sites, encompassing 260,000 guest rooms, with its convergent IP services. In 2014, SHS has seen its installed customer base grow by 20% as demand for quality HSIA services as well as for hospitality-specific IP network design and installation skills have been rising substantially.
HoistLocatel AB develops and supplies systems, products and services to independent hotels and hotel chains, hospitals and public venues in Europe and the Middle East.
Swisscom is Switzerland’s leading telecom company and one of its foremost IT companies. Swisscom’s international activities are concentrated mainly on Italy, where its subsidiary Fastweb is one of the country's largest broadband providers. Swisscom employs around 21,500 people and had revenues of US$12 billion in 2015. The company is listed at the Swiss Stock Exchange SIX in Zurich, while 51% of the shares are held by the Swiss Confederation.
