PMC Hydraulics A/S has sold its Danish service activities to AVN Gruppen A/S
March 2017 — PMC Hydraulics A/S has sold certain service related assets to AVN Gruppen A/S. Financial details have not been disclosed.
PMC Hydraulics is a global expert offering customers specialized hydraulic and lubrication solutions such as development, design and production of customized hydraulic systems, manifold solutions, mobile hydraulic transmissions and components within the energy, industry, mobile and marine segments. The service assets include a broad palette of hydraulic services to several segments within the agriculture, rescue, marine and offshore industries. The services include: service and repair, preventive maintenance, onsite service, and oil conditioning and monitoring.
AVN Gruppen is an industrial business partner for the Danish and North European industry. The group delivers technical solutions and products of high quality within the field of tools, sheet processing machinery, automation and hydraulics. AVN Gruppen is divided into four different subsidiaries, each one covering a business area: hydraulics, hydraulic services, technical division and sheet processing.
PMC Hydraulics has sold its service activities and related assets as part of its corporate strategy to focus on customized hydraulic solutions and distribution of hydraulic components. With this acquisition, AVN Gruppen strengthens its position in the Danish hydraulic service market with improved geographic coverage, additional qualified and experienced employees and access to new market segments. With the new owner, PMC service employees will now be part of a group with a dedicated strategic focus on developing an even stronger service business.
Our role in the transaction
Oaklins' team in Denmark advised the owners of PMC Hydraulics in connection with the divestiture of its Danish service activities to AVN Gruppen. The team in Sweden, through its close relationship with the executive management in PMC Hydraulics, leveraged the strong Oaklins' track record to source the deal with the Danish team, who executed the transaction from identifying potential buyers to final negotiations.
