Capvis has sold hessnatur to Wourth Group
September 2026 — Hess Natur-Textilien GmbH & Co. KG has become part of the international Wourth Group. With the change of ownership from Capvis to Wourth Group, hessnatur is entering its next phase of development. The transaction reflects the company’s successful strategic and business development in recent years, and creates a strong foundation for the future.
Founded in 1976, hessnatur develops and distributes high-quality fashion and home products made from natural materials. For more than 50 years, the company has stood for the continuous advancement of materials, quality and transparency across the entire value chain. The product range includes women’s, men’s and children’s clothing as well as lingerie and home products, distributed through its own online shop, five stores and selected digital platforms.
Wourth Group is an international multi-category and omnichannel fashion and lifestyle business. Established in 2024, it has grown through a series of strategic acquisitions and today comprises the brands Woolovers, Pure Collection, Hotter, Peter Hahn, Scotts & Co and Museum Selection. Wourth Group employs around 1,200 people across locations in the UK (Burgess Hill, Skelmersdale and Oxford) and Germany (Winterbach), and serves more than two million active customers worldwide.

Our role in the transaction
Oaklins’ team in Germany acted as the exclusive M&A advisor to Capvis and hessnatur management throughout the sale process, including exit readiness, valuation, buyer approach, management presentations, due diligence management and negotiation of the terms and the share purchase agreement (SPA) through to closing.
