Les Indépendants has acquired a majority stake in Clinique La Pinède

July 2026 — Les Indépendants, a group comprising four independent healthcare operators in the Occitanie region, has acquired a majority stake in Clinique La Pinède. Following their partnership in 2022 on the acquisition of Clinique du Château de Vernhes, the four operators have once again joined forces, this time as part of a process initiated by the Cave family, founder and shareholder of Clinique La Pinède, to reshape the clinic’s ownership structure and further develop its care pathways and regional presence.

Les Indépendants is a consortium of four experienced regional operators managing medical and rehabilitation care clinics: Groupe Serenis, comprising Clinique Monié, Clinique des Minimes, three nursing homes and a network of senior living residences; Clinique des Pyrénées, a geriatric and general SMR clinic; Clinique d’Aufréry, a psychiatric clinic; and Clinique de Verdaich, specializing in functional rehabilitation.

Clinique La Pinède is a reference facility for medical and rehabilitation care in Tarn-et-Garonne, France. Founded in 2005, the clinic has 148 beds and 15 day-hospital places. It has developed a care offering in general medicine, geriatrics, neurology and, more recently, musculoskeletal rehabilitation within a 10,000 sqm building equipped with two therapy units.

Our role in the transaction

Oaklins’ team in France acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Les Indépendants, structuring and executing the acquisition of a majority stake in Clinique La Pinède. Les Indépendants appointed Oaklins to advise on the transaction, with the aim of implementing a long-term development strategy alongside Clinique La Pinède’s shareholders.
