KPS Food Group has joined ForFarmers Polska, a joint venture controlled by ForFarmers N.V.
October 2026 — ForFarmers N.V. has strengthened its position in Poland’s growing poultry market through the establishment of a joint venture with KPS Food Group, a leading poultry producer with operations spanning farming, slaughtering and food processing. ForFarmers’ existing Polish joint venture, Tasomix, and KPS’s operations have been combined to form ForFarmers Polska, which has an enterprise value of approximately US$585 million. ForFarmers holds a controlling 50.5% stake and will fully consolidate the joint venture. The founders of KPS and Tasomix remain minority shareholders.
KPS is a vertically integrated producer of chicken meat products based in central Poland. Its operations include poultry farms, a slaughterhouse and a thermal processing plant. The group operates seven large poultry farms with a combined capacity of up to three million birds per cycle and an annual output of approximately 20 million birds, based on up to seven production cycles per year, each lasting an average of 42 days. The farms are located within a 100 km radius of the slaughterhouse. Completed in 2019, the modern slaughterhouse has a processing capacity of 13,000 birds per hour, equivalent to 1.2 million birds per week, and offers full portioning capabilities. The integrated production cycle is completed by a secondary processing plant that manufactures a wide range of thermally processed chicken products, including whole-muscle and formed products. More than 90% of production is exported, primarily to Western Europe. The group’s main customers include retailers, hotels, restaurants and catering (HoReCa) operators and other food processors. KPS also holds a contract to supply canned food to the Polish Armed Forces. The sellers are the founders of KPS, private entrepreneurs active in Poland’s poultry industry.
