Groupe SHFC has been acquired by Creadev

July 2026 — CREADEV has acquired a majority stake in Groupe SHFC to establish a European leader in soil health.

Founded more than 35 years ago by Pascal Tronçon and based in the Ardennes region in France, Groupe SHFC’s main entities, FCA Fertilisants and Fertilux, form an integrated group and are recognized as a leading player in the design, manufacture and distribution of responsible fertilizers dedicated to plant nutrition and soil health. Combining industrial expertise with natural raw materials sourced from the agri-food industry and biological solutions that sustainably stimulate the activity of microorganisms present in the soil, the group markets its products to farmers and distributors in France, Central Europe and Africa across the row crops, grassland and value-added segments, including viticulture, arboriculture and market gardening.

Creadev is an investment company founded in 2002 by the Mulliez family, founders of major retail and distribution businesses including Auchan, Decathlon and Leroy Merlin, to support high-potential small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The company invests the capital and entrepreneurial values of the Mulliez family to help build tomorrow’s leaders in the food, health and climate sectors. With investment tickets ranging from around US$12 million to US$58 million, Creadev seeks majority or minority reference shareholder positions to accelerate the growth of profitable companies and strengthen their market leadership through a dynamic strategy of organic growth and acquisitions. Creadev distinguishes itself through its long-term partnership approach, built on close relationships with management teams and an active commitment to creating sustainable value. The company has an international presence, with offices across Europe, the USA and Africa.

Groupe SHFC was sold by its founder and CEO, Pascal Tronçon. He will remain a minority shareholder and continue in his operational role within the organization.
