November 2014 — The private shareholders in Fasadeprodukter AS, based in Norway, have sold the company to Hunter Douglas Group. Financial details of this transaction have not been disclosed.
Fasadeprodukter is a leading privately owned provider of both indoor and outdoor sun-control solutions on windows and facades.
Hunter Douglas Group, headquartered in Rotterdam, Holland, is the world market leader in window coverings and a major manufacturer of architectural products, with more than 17,000 talented people working in 100 countries. In addition, Hunter Douglas is a specialized producer and distributor of precision machinery. The group consists of more than a hundred companies with over 50 manufacturing and over 60 assembly operations. Through its worldwide network of around 500 independent franchised assembling distributors, Hunter Douglas markets its products worldwide.
Our role in the transaction
Oaklins' team in Norway acted as the exclusive financial advisor for the seller in this transaction. The team presented many potential buyers, and this was crucial to make the sellers confident that they made the best possible decision regarding the future ownership of Fasadeprodukter. Oaklins' team in the Netherlands assisted the Norwegian team in contacting Hunter Douglas which ended up as the ultimate buyer, and also contributed with other seriously interested buyers.
