Tecnologia De Materiales (TDM), a Peru-based company, has acquired the geosynthetic business unit of Polytex in Peru. Financial details have not been disclosed.

Based in Peru, Tecnologia De Materiales S.A. is engaged in manufacturing, servicing, designing and marketing engineering products for the construction of large projects. Post transaction, the acquired business unit will be operated by TDM's subsidiary, TDM Geosinteticos.

Polytex is a Chilean company with years of experience in the manufacture of plastic products. The company's geosynthetic business unit includes a plant with the largest line for blown film installed in Peru.

Polytex is a Chilean company with years of experience in the manufacture of plastic products. The company has state-of-the-art facilities in Santiago and Iquique, and a cutting-edge technology line in Lima, Peru. Polytex products include geomembranes, raschel net, drain pipes and smooth HDPE pipes, among others. The company exports its products to Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Mexico, Australia, South Africa, USA and the European Union, where Polytex has become a consolidated supplier based on the quality offered.

Oaklins' team in Peru acted as the exclusive financial advisor to TDM in the acquisition of the geosynthetic business unit of Polytex Peru.
