Nutrition & Santé has divested its Spanish organic assets to Alimentos Sanygran

July 2026 — Nutrition & Santé Group has divested its Spanish organic assets to Alimentos Sanygran. The transaction included the Natursoy brand; the Castellterçol production site dedicated to organic chilled plant-based meat alternatives; a three-year Gerblé chilled-business license; manufacturing and transition services agreement (TSA) arrangements for Nutrition & Santé’s French Céréal Bio and Soy brands and third-party brands; distribution contracts for more than 10 organic brands; and a dedicated sales force serving specialized organic and dietetic retailers in Spain.

Founded in 1988, Natursoy is a Spanish brand specializing in certified organic vegetarian and vegan food products. The company focuses on sustainable agriculture and healthy nutrition, offering a broad portfolio that includes plant-based proteins such as tofu, seitan and tempeh, as well as ready-to-eat meals, healthy snacks and organic pantry products.

Alimentos Sanygran is a Spanish specialist in plant-based proteins headquartered in Tudela, Navarra, with production facilities in Polinyà, Barcelona. The company focuses on plant-based ingredients and finished products, ranging from flours and textured proteins to plant-based meat alternatives, serving industrial, retail and foodservice customers. Alimentos Sanygran maintains a shareholding relationship with Grupo Apex, a Navarra-based snack food manufacturer with 15 sites in Spain and over 900 employees, whose brands include Aspitos, Jumpers, Popitas and Pop Up. Through its acquisition strategy, Alimentos Sanygran is strengthening its position across the plant protein value chain in the Spanish market.

Founded in 1972 in Revel, Occitanie, France, Nutrition & Santé is a pioneer in dietetic and organic nutrition in France, with brands including Gerblé, Céréal Bio, Soy, Gerlinéa and Isostar. The group employs approximately 1,480 people, including 1,010 in France, across 10 production sites comprising eight in France and two in Spain. It distributes its brands through five channels, including supermarkets, organic and specialty retailers, pharmacies, food service and e-commerce. A subsidiary of the Japanese group Otsuka Pharmaceutical, Nutrition & Santé generates approximately US$470 million in revenue.
