Peter is a director at Oaklins Henslow in Australia. He has over 30 years’ experience in corporate finance advisory in the industrial and resource sectors, having advised large and small corporate firms in fields such as technology, education, recruitment, business services, agribusiness, waste management, oil and gas, minerals, facilities maintenance, media, engineering services and healthcare services. Notable deals Peter has advised on in recent years, many of which involve listed companies, include the divestments of Macleay College to The Fashion Institute, Maggie Beer Foods to Longtable Group (ASX:MBH), Royalco (ASX:RCO) to Fitzroy River (ASX:FZR), Worth Recycling to Tox-Free Solutions (ASX:TOX) and Talent2 International (ASX:TWO) to Allegis Group. Peter has also been involved in capital markets, for example for Byron Energy (ASX:BYE) on debt and equity raisings and joint venture arrangements on its path to becoming a Gulf of Mexico oil and gas producer, and Argonaut Resources (ASX:ARE) in a number of capital raisings for mineral exploration.

From 2000, Peter was a principal and director at Baron Partners, which merged with Oaklins Henslow in 2018. Through the 1990s, Peter held senior positions in the corporate advisory team of Hambros Australia, following on from advisory experience gained with boutique merchant bank Gresham Partners and audit and accounting roles with Deloitte in the UK and Australia. Peter has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Strathclyde University and is a qualified chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He is also a graduate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
