Joris Gijsbers

Associate Director

Joris is an associate director at Oaklins Netherlands and is part of the M&A team. He has been involved in numerous (cross-border) M&A transactions, primarily in renewable energy, but also across business support services, human resources, creative services and the consumer & retail segment. Notable transactions include the sales of 365zon to Soltech, Tenten Solar to Smile Invest, Future Fuels to Comfort Energy, Unikidz to Karmijn Kapitaal, Pragmatics to World of Talents and Total Design to M80 Partners. Joris has also advised on several debt transactions, including the management buy-out of Goossens and the recapitalizations of Lead Healthcare and Circuit Zandvoort.

Joris joined Oaklins Netherlands in 2019 following an internship. Prior to this, he completed an internship at Emendo Capital. He has a bachelor’s degree in business economics and a master’s degree in finance from Tilburg University, and was an exchange student at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China.
